Dr. Matthew J. Francis attended Boston University and graduated in 1999 with a B.S. in Human Physiology. He went on to graduate from the New England College of Optometry in 2003. During his training he worked in multiple private practice settings, including Optometric Associates in St. Albans, VT and Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Havre de Grace, MD. Dr. Francis then completed his one year residency training in Ocular Disease at D'Ambrosio Eyecare in Leominster, MA. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Dr. Francis joined Merrimack Vision Care in 2004 and sees patients in both the Merrimack and Manchester locations. He enjoys providing general eye care, specialty contact lens fittings and the treatment of ocular disease. With his time away from the office, Dr. Francis stays active playing basketball, golf and skiing. He currently resides in Nashua, NH with his wife and cat.
