Dr. Kevin M. Chauvette O.D., F.C.O.V.D.

Dr. Kevin M. Chauvette performed his undergraduate training at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and St. Anselm College, Manchester, NH and graduated from New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts with a doctor of optometry degree in 1989. He is a Fellow in the College of Optometry in Vision Development (COVD), the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), The American Optometric Association (AOA) and the NH Optometric Association (NHOA). He is an adjunct faculty member of the New England College of Optometry in Boston, the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, SALUS Collage of Optometry in Elkins Park, PA, and Western College of Optometry in Pomona, CA .

Dr. Chauvette opened his private practice, MVC Eye Care in Merrimack, NH in September 1990. The first satellite office in Manchester was opened in November 2000. In 2006 Dr. Chauvette launched Eye Q Vision Therapy Center, a vision therapy specialty practice. In addition to Eye Q Vision Therapy Center, MVC Eye Care has five locations, Merrimack, Manchester, Milford, Windham and Hampton NH.

Dr. Chauvette specializes in Pediatric Vision Care, vision care for children struggling in school, children with developmental disabilities (autism, cerebral palsy, etc), with a concentration in the area of neuro-rehabilitation. He is currently the Director of vision clinics at the following rehabilitation facilities: Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital, Concord, NH, Northeast Rehabilitation Hospitals in Salem, Portsmouth and Nashua, NH, and Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Bradford, Massachusetts.

At these facilities, Dr. Chauvette evaluates and treats patients who have recently suffered stroke, traumatic brain injury, cranial surgery and other neurological disorders. Dr. Chauvette is one of the few optometrists in the area that is certified to provide vision therapy to assist individuals struggling with tracking disorders, eye teaming disorders, focusing disorders and/or visual perceptual dysfunctions. He has authored several articles and lectures frequently on the subject of visual rehabilitation for adults and children.


Dr. Matthew Francis O.D.

Dr. Matthew J. Francis attended Boston University and graduated in 1999 with a B.S. in Human Physiology. He went on to graduate from the New England College of Optometry in 2003. During his training he worked in multiple private practice settings, including Optometric Associates in St. Albans, VT and Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Havre de Grace, MD. Dr. Francis then completed his one year residency training in Ocular Disease at D’Ambrosio Eyecare in Leominster, MA. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Dr. Francis joined MVC Eye Care in 2004 and sees patients in both the Merrimack and Manchester locations. He enjoys providing general eye care, contact lens fittings and the treatment of ocular disease. With his time away from the office, Dr. Francis stays active playing basketball, golf and skiing. He currently resides in Nashua, NH with his wife and daughter.


Dr. Mark Harris O.D.

Dr. Harris, also a graduate from the New England College of Optometry, Boston, holds a B.S. in Biological Science Education and an Associates of Science degree in Radiation Therapy Technology from the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT. Dr. Harris’ clinical experience includes work at the Lahey Eye Clinic, Lowell, MA and the Veterans Administration Hospital, Manchester, NH.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association. In 2013 he was voted Optometrist of the Year among his colleagues in the AOA for his outstanding dedication to the field.

Dr. Harris joined MVC Eye Care in 1997 and now sees patients in both the Merrimack and Manchester locations. Dr. Harris provides general eye care, contact lens services and treatment of eye disease. In his free time Dr. Harris enjoys skiing and horseback riding.


Dr. Thuy-Nga (Lily) Nguyen O.D.

Dr. Nguyen graduated from undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida with a B.S in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Public Health & Applied Physics in Medicine. She completed her doctorate degree in 2014 at Western University of Health and Sciences, College of Optometry in Pomona, California. During Dr. Nguyen’s clinical training, she was at Flint Sensory Learning Center in Flint, Michigan, UH Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, in Bay Pines, Florida, and Villages VA in The Villages, Florida.

During her free time, Dr. Nguyen likes to stay healthy and remain active by running and exercising, meeting and socializing with family and friends. Dr. Nguyen also gets involved in volunteering events to help screen patients, especially small children. She has an interest in vision therapy, assisting individuals with visual disorders that impact overall quality of life.

Dr. Nguyen is fluent in Vietnamese and English. She recently moved to Manchester, NH from Winter Park, Florida in August 2015.


Dr. Suzanna Schmitt, O.D.

Dr. Suzanna Schmitt is a New York native originally from Long Island. She completed her undergraduate studies at Binghamton University in upstate New York with a B.S. in Integrative Neuroscience in 2012. Dr. Schmitt then completed her doctorate of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston in 2017. She has done a combination of primary care and ocular disease internships at the VA Hospital in Portland OR, Castle Family Health Centers of California, Midwest Eye Professionals in Chicago. In addition to specialty internships at the VA Hospital Jamaica Plain MA in Low Vision Rehabilitation and at the New England Eye Institute in Specialty Contact Lenses.

Dr. Schmitt enjoys to practice primary care Optometry and likes seeing patients of all age ranges and visual needs. She is passionate about management of eye disease as well as fitting contact lenses. Dr.Schmitt will primarily being seeing patients at our Milford location. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

In her free time, Dr.Schmitt enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking and spending time with friends and family.


Dr. Kara Feldberg, O.D.

Dr. Feldberg is originally from Bethany, CT. She received a B.S. in Biology from the University of New Hampshire. She then attended the New England College of Optometry and graduated in 2007 with a Doctorate in Optometry. During her training, Dr. Feldberg worked at the North End Community Health Center in Boston, MA, the Veteran’s Administration in West Haven, CT, the Veteran’s Administration in Lowell, MA, and the Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut in Fairfield, CT.

Dr. Feldberg dreamed of being an eye doctor since the age of 12, when she did a science project on “The Eye & Cataract Surgery.” She made her dreams come true and began working for our company in 2009. She now works as the main optometrist in our Windham office.

Dr. Feldberg specializes in general eye care, contact lens fitting and treatment of dry eye disease. She is a member of the American Optometric Association & the New Hampshire Optometric Association. She lives in Windham, NH with her husband and dog and enjoys playing the piano, singing, hiking, and boating.


Dr. Hannah Edward

Hannah Edward graduated from the University of Western Ontario in Canada and graduated in 2014, with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Science and Psychology. She graduated from the New England College of Optometry, Boston, MA in May of 2018. She has training in specialty contact lenses, pediatric low vision, and ocular disease. She can perform eye examinations in French, Spanish and Arabic.

Hannah enjoys photography, yoga, animals, hiking and travel.


Dr. Nikita Katoozi

Nikita received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington Seattle, with a B.A. in Business & Entrepreneurship in 2013. She received her Masters of Education in Visual Function and Learning from Pacific University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in May 2018.

She has volunteered with Special Olympics, Lions Club Run/Walk for Sight and with NGO PATH in Pune, India educating pregnant women about maternal healthcare. She was selected Student of the Year in 2016 by the Optometric Physicians of Washington and was the winner of the “Optometrists Change Lives” Writing Competition, and was published in the Optometry and Visual Performance Journal in 2017. She has performed research and been published on subjects from reading dysfunction to medical pharmacology to myopia studies.

Dr. Katoozi has a special interest and significant training in pediatrics, vision therapy, and neuro-rehabilitation.


Dr. K.B. Boyer

Dr. Boyer is practices general eyecare, family vision care and contact lens fitting in our Hampton office. He graduated with honors from New England College Of Optometry in 1988. Having more than 30 years of diverse experiences, Dr. Boyer is a well known fixture in the Seacoast community.
